DECCO is a company that began operations in 1993 to collaborate in the development of transportation and communication infrastructure in Mexico through the production of wooden crossties for railways and wooden posts for transmission lines and telephone and electricity wiring.
DECCO is a company specializing in treated wood products for different applications in the transportation, telecommunications, energy, construction, agriculture and other industries. Our treatments with Creosote, Boron + Creosote, CCA (Chromated Copper Arsenate), Pentachlorophenol and Copper Naphthenate immunize the wood against the attack of biological agents (insects that eat it and fungi that rot it) preserving it and extending its useful life.
We take care of all kinds of projects for railways, maintenance, track expansion and laying, track replacement, spurs and bridges.
DECCO actively exports to the United States and Latin America, mainly to the railway, mining, telecommunications, and electric power industries. We are now entering into Europe and the Pacific Rim taking advantage of commercial treaties.
With 23 years of experience, we have become the leading supplier of wooden crossties in Latin America and Southern United States.
To ensure that the preserved wooden crossties and posts comply with the quality requirements established in the corresponding standards, we have implemented a Quality System based on the ISO 9001-2008 standard, which allows us to coordinate the involved departments for offering a product and service of excellent quality.
This Quality System and its rigorous control in all stages of the process is what has allowed us to export to the whole continent.
The Nature Climate Change journal confirmed in a study that in 2016 the planet was greener than 30 years ago. Forests are increasingly being exploited more intelligently, and the non-timber resources such as ecotourism and timber products market is worth billions of dollars worldwide, which makes the producers take care and exploit the forest in a sustainable way so that the resource is not exhausted. Wood is a renewable natural resource.
Wood is the “greenest”, most ecological, and environmentally friendliest material for the manufacture of crossties, it is a renewable natural resource, an adequately exploited forest regenerates itself, and if a tree reaches an enough height for a crosstie or post to be produced, it should had grown during many years in which it contributed with oxygen to the atmosphere capturing carbon dioxide and converting it into organic tissue.
DECCO recognizes its environmental responsibility, complying with the applicable legislation in force. We work only with CERTIFIED forests.
